Respimat soft mist inhaler (SMI) is an producing a with low velocity. The liquid drug solution emitted by the mechanical energy of compressed spring, so device propellant-free. This paper describes measurement particle fraction penetrating through model upper respiratory tract (mouth cavity, pharynx, larynx trachea). inside cartridge was marked fluorescein in order to evaluate regional deposition model. After exposition, segments model, as well filter, were washed out and deposited extracted into water. analysis showed that particles 64.7±6.7 %. However, real inhalation pattern not simulated provided continual “inhalation” without “exhalation”.
